The most over looked band of the 90's is back! Sacramento, California's Far - the band that has influenced everyone on the West Coast from Deftones to Linkin Park to Incubus and countless others is back! Jonah Mantranga and the boys of Far will release At Night We May Live, the bands first record in over a decade! At Night We May Live which was produced by Far guitarist Shaun Lopez at his studio's, will hit stores on May 18. Matranga posted on the band's website, thebandfar.com, that “All I know is that I’m really proud of the record, and I think it stands with anything we’ve made. Really, that’s all I cared about as we were making it.”
The band, whose last record, Water and Solutions was released in 1997 and then re-released in 2004 with bonus DVD and liner notes. Far hit the road this past fall to test drive the audiences and see how things would go, I was able to catch them at their very first performance in New York City in over a decade at Bowery Ballroom opening for Thursday.
