Quick News

Before the played with Bruno Mars during the Super Bowl, on Saturday night at a kick-off concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, Red Hot Chili Peppers confirmed they are working on new material for a new record. No word was mentioned if the record will come out this year.

On Monday, Mastodon confirmed they too are working on new material and will have an album out sometime this year.

British band The Klaxons announced that they will have an album out by the spring, it will be the band's first in four years and will feature production from The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands, Erol Alkan and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy.

Also announcing they will have a new album out this year are the legendary new-wave rockers, The Cure. The band will release 4:14 Scream, which was recorded around the same time as their 2008 album, 4:13 Dream. No release date has been set.

While a slew of bands announced new records, one man is calling it quits in the music industry. Magnetic Man and international DJ, and one half of Skream and Benga, Benga is retiring from music to  start a family. Benga announced it via Facebook and then deleted his Twitter account. We wish him the best.
