Sad news to report, the creator of Marshall Amps - Jim Marshall has passed away at age 88. We are turning our speakers up to 11 in honor of Marshall.

Producer and DJ Diplo will be getting his own music series on BBC6 Music. The show will air weekly and will feature remixes, playlists and Diplo spinning.

On June 19 - Frames / Swell Season singer and Oscar® winner, Glen Hansard will release his solo debut, Rhythm and Repose.

Jarvis Cocker has confirmed to Shortlist that he is working on new music with Pulp. Cocker said, "It took us long enough to relearn the old songs, so we'll have to see about that. But I've got ideas. I keep my little notebook, I've always got that with me. Hopefully there's more stuff than nonsense in there."

As we reported earlier in the week that Deftones will be heading into the studio in July, now Chino Moreno has confirmed the band will begin recording their new record next week. They hope to have the album out before year's end.

While Coachella was to be the spot where At The Drive-In made their big reunion happen, it has now been announced the band will play their home state of Texas in Marfa on April 12 for a warm-up gig. Read our interview with Jim Ward of ATD-i where he talks about the reunion HERE.

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder is forced to postpone his solo US tour due to nerve damage in his right hand. He sustained the damage after a back injury he endured earlier in the year. The tour will be rescheduled for November / December.

Bob Dylan's iconic album, Blood on the Tracks is set to become a feature film. The film will be based on the music on the record about a couple breaking up. Producer Rodrigo Teixeira said in a statement. "Our goal is to work with a filmmaker who can create a classic drama with characters and an environment that capture the feelings that the album inspires in all fans."
