Very, very sad news to report that Damon Albarn has mentioned in a recent interview with The Guardian that he is confirming that Blur will make their final live appearance this summer when they headline the Olympics closing ceremony in London this August. He has also said that the future of Gorillaz is unlikely as he and artist Jamie Hewlett have had a falling out. Albarn said, "We were at cross purposes somewhat on that last record, which is a shame. So until a time comes when that knot has been untied..."

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has confirmed that The Rolling Stones will enter a recording studio later this month to work on new material.

Robyn is joining the Global photo project - aday.org, which is a website dedicated to May 15 when people all around the world can upload and showcase photos of daily life around the planet. The uploaded images will be published on the Internet and compiled into a touring exhibition and a book. Also joining the project is Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and superstar DJ Fatboy Slim will team up next April for "Here Lies Love," a musical about former Filipina first lady Imelda Marcos. The musical will run at Manhattan's public theater.

A new music festival to mark what would have been the 60th Birthday and 10 year anniversary passing of Clash frontman and icon, Joe Stummer will open this summer in Somerset, England.  The festival, 'Strummer Of Love', will be staged over three days from August 17-19 at an undisclosed location in Somerset. Strummer died from an undiagnosed congenital heart defect in December 2002.
