Judas Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. The iconic axeman will not be touring with his band anymore and has been replaced on stage by Andy Sneap.

Mark E. Smith's family has come out to say that the late Fall frontman passed away from terminal cancer last month.

Okkervil River will release their new album, In the Rainbow Rain, in April.

After reports surfaced over the weekend that The Mars Volta were going to reunite after a six year hiatus, frontman Cedric Bixler Zavala squashed the story but the At the Drive-In singer said he isn't ruling out the possibility after posting about it on Twitter. 

It seems as if Black Star will return this year, according to reports after a Reddit user posted an announcement on the forum site. In the post, their was audio which has a man who appears to be Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def, say, "New Black Star with Madlib, Talib Kweli, Yasiin, coming soon!" The project will reportedly be done by Madlib. Kweli, Bey, nor Madlib have commented on the rumor. Black Star’s only album, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, was released in 1998 on Rawkus Records.
