QUICK NEWS!

Coldplay front man Chris Martin spoke to BBC 1 radio yesterday and discussed the band's forthcoming record, he says the album is about "love, addiction and OCD," and continued on to say that the album "is not a concept record."

After reports swirled yesterday that Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys was cancer free, MCA took to the band's site and twitter yesterday to denounce the reports. MCA who has been battling a form of throat cancer since 2009, says "While I'm grateful for all the positive energy people are sending my way, reports of my being totally cancer free are exaggerated. I'm continuing treatment, staying optimistic and hoping to be cancer free in the near future."

Titus Andronicus bassist and founding member Ian Graetzer has left the band. The band announced Graetzer split New Year's Eve at a gig in Brooklyn. A replacement has not been named just yet. Graetzer leaving adds to the slew of members who have come in and out through Titus, we spoke to singer Patrick Stickles this past fall about that, read what he had to say HERE.

Allison Mosshart of the Kills has announced via the band's twitter, that the duo are done recording and mixing their fourth record. We expect it to be out sometime this year.

Johnny Rotten or sometimes John Lydon, depending on what circle of friends he is with, has expressed interest that he would like to record with Sex Pistols again. Rotten tells Stereogum that he "can imagine writing with the band again." The Sex Pistols took to stages in 2008 and have been quiet ever since, last year Lydon toured with his other band Public Image Ltd. for the first time in two decades.

Damon Albarn may just very well be the busiest man in show business today. Albarn, who currently wrapped up his massive Gorillaz world tour and released the world's first iPad recorded record, The Fall, and is hinting at working more with Blur and The Good, The Band and The Queen is NOW scoring a short film. The short The Boy in the Oak, starring Jude Law, is an adaptation of a story, Damon's sister Jessica had written.
