RIP Nelson Mandela

Former South African President Nelson Mandela has passed away at 95.

Mandela, was a lawyer who led the fight against South Africa's Apartheid government which saw him spend 27 years of his life in prison. After international outcry, Mandela was released in 1990 and four years later was elected his country's first black president. During his presidency, he began the Truth and Reconciliation Trials which allowed those who followed the apartheid regime's devastating cases human rights to confess and be pardoned of their atrocities. Mandela did this in order for his country to heal and move forward. He also disassembled South Africa's nuclear program and spread the word of humanity around South Africa, the rest of Africa and the world.

The world has lost it's greatest leader.
