Longtime friend and Arctic Monkeys producer, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age has shed some light on the Monkeys forthcoming album, AM. Speaking at the Rock For People festival at Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic last weekend, he said, “I sang on the new Arctic Monkeys record. It’s a really cool, sexy after-midnight record. It’s called 'AM', so I guess that’s really obvious. And it’s really good. It’s really good. It’s not disco [as such], but it’s like a modern, dancefloor sexy record. It’s really good."

Speaking to Wall Street Journal, Damon Albarn has confirmed that Blur will record new material after Albarn wraps up working on his solo album. Albarn is currently working with XL Records boss, Richard Russell, who he worked with on Bobby Womack's awesome 2012 album, The Bravest Man in the Universe. No release date for Albarn's solo album has been set.
