Almost a year after losing Adam "MCA" Yauch to cancer, the surviving members of Beastie Boys - Mike D and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horowitz, are going to be writing a memoir about their lives and career together. The book will arrive in 2015 via Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau.

In related news, MCA will be honored in his native Brooklyn as Palmetto Playground will be renamed "Adam Yauch Park" on Friday.

Hot 97 DJ Pete Rosenberg announced on his radio show on Monday that Kanye West has finished work on his sixth album. According to Rosenberg, the album is "dark," and West worked with Daft Punk, TNGHT, Chief Keef, Azealia Banks on the untitled album. No word however as to when it will be released. West is set to perform on the season finale of Saturday Night Live and headline the second night of Governor's Ball in New York City in June.

After announcing their new EP, The 1975 have announced that their self-titled debut will arrive in September.

Indie rock fans rejoice! Neutral Milk Hotel have reunited! After years of rumors and solo tours from the bands main man, Jeff Magnum, the band will do a string of dates together this fall.
