Foo Fighters Announce New Album

After months of teasing, Foo Fighters have finally announced details of their eighth studio album. The record, Sonic Highways, will arrive in November. The Butch Vig produced LP, which is also the title of Dave Grohl's HBO series on the making of the album, was recorded in eight cities: Washington, D.C., New York, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Nashville, and Austin.

In a press release, Dave Grohl said, "This album is instantly recognizable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it. I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our ‘sound'."
