After much deliberation and years in development, a Janis Joplin biopic will be released next year. The actress playing Joplin is TONY winner, Nina Arianda. 

A UK business tycoon has opened a floating hotel in Liverpool, England based off the cover of The Beatles Yellow Submarine. The hotel is a converted submarine and now a floating hotel docked in Liverpool, England, that allows fans a chance to spend a few nights in a hotel inspired by the record.

The much talked about and anticipated Action Bronson / Alchemist collaboration record will be released sometime in August according to Bronon's Twitter.

Flying Lotus will release his anticipated follow-up to Cosmogramma called, Until the Quiet Comes on October 2. The record, like Cosmogramma will contain a track with Radiohead's Thom Yorke.

Ben Folds Five will release their first album in 13 years called The Sound of Life and Mind in September.

Sad news to report, legendary Deep Purple keyboardist and founding member, Jon Lord passed away at age 71 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
