Joy Division's Peter Hook, who has famously battled his former bandmates in the press for the last few years will release his memoirs, Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division this year. The book, which will be released in the UK in August and December in the US will chronicle the start, rise and eventual fall of the legendary British band. Dave Grohl's birthtown of Warren, Ohio is set to honor the music legend again with a pair of 300 pound drumsticks. Grohl, who was honored by the town in 2010 with a street named after him, will not have a landmark of massive drumsticks.

Stereophonics are set to release two new albums within the next year. The first record, still untitled, will be released in October and the next sometime in 2013. Singer Kelly Jones told The Daily Star, "We've had time to just go into our own studio and mess about, and it’s resulted in a bigger sounding style, very grand and filmic."

Taking to Twitter, United Nations, the band featuring member of Converge, Geoff Rickley of Thursday and Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw / Head Automatica, confirmed they are releasing a new album. The band released their debut in 2008.
