Slayer are hoping to release their new album in early 2013. The follow-up to 2009's World Painted Blood, will not feature guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who is still recovering from a flesh-eating necrotizing disease on his right arm, believed to have been caused by a spider bite.

For a lifelong Pearl Jam fan, one incredible thing happened. Brian Farias of Rhode Island, was selected by the band's fan club, the Ten Club to create Pearl Jam's setlist for their Amsterdam concert over the weekend. Congrats Brian!

The Rolling Stones are marking their 50th anniversary with a London exhibit that will feature rare and never-before-seen photographs and memorabilia of the band. The exhibit will open at Sommerset House on July 12.

Producer No I.D. (Jay-Z, Richard Ashcroft), has confirmed to MTV he is working on Kanye West's new album, the follow-up to 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

On a very hot Saturday in New York City, one of the many free events for the CBGB's Festival took place. One of which was in Times Square that featured Duff McKagen's Loaded, The Hold Steady, Superchunk and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. For fans of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, it was a bittersweet performance as bassist Tyler Sargent and keyboardist Robbie Guertin confirmed that would be their final performance with the indie band.
