Rolling Stone has confirmed that U2 have finished recording their new album with producer Danger Mouse in New York City over the weekend. The follow-up to 2009's No Line on the Horizon is due in the fall.

Singer Ebony Bones will release her new album, Behold, A Pale Horse will be out in August.

Sad news to report, Sharon Jones has been diagnosed with cancer. The singer was diagnosed with stage-one bile-duct cancer , in a press statement, Jones writes, "Over the last few weeks I haven’t felt good and I didn’t know what was going on. We sadly had to cancel shows while I went through a series of tests and short hospital stays. We just found out that I have a stage-one tumor on my bile duct. Luckily we caught it really early and fast and the doctors say it’s operable and curable! I will be having surgery very soon and will have to rest and recover. I’ll be staying in touch and keeping my fans and friends updated on my progress. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road to give the people what they want!" She has postponed the release of her forthcoming album and has canceled our tour appearances, we wish the mighty Ms. Jones a speedy recovery.

Bosnian Rainbows have confirmed that their debut album will be released in October.

Iconic singer Lou Reed is recovering from a life save liver transplant. Taking to Facebook, Reed said, "I am a triumph of modern medicine, physics and chemistry. I am bigger and stronger than stronger than ever. My Chen Taiji and health regimen has served me well all of these years, thanks to Master Ren Guang-yi. I look forward to being on stage performing, and writing more songs to connect with your hearts and spirits and the universe well into the future."

Southern rapper Gucci Mane has teamed up with Marilyn Mason for a new song called "Fancy Bitch." The song MAY be featured on Mane's forthcoming new album, Mr. Guwop.

Representatives for incarcerated Pussy Riot member, Maria Alyokhina claim she has received concessions from Russian authorities at her prison and has ended her 11-day hunger strike. She was on strike following the announcement that she was not allowed to attend her own parole hearing.
