Shoegaze indie rockers Youth Lagoon are no longer. The band's leader Trevor Powers has confirmed that they are finished but he will continue making music.

Lady Gaga had a big day, it was announced that she will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl and will also perform a tribute to David Bowie with Nile Rodgers at the Grammys later this month.

Speaking to former Sex Pistol Steve Jones on his radio show, Anthony Keidis has confirmed that Red Hot Chili Peppers are in the studio working with Danger Mouse. He said: "We had written two dozen songs before we got with him. [He] is like, ‘Let’s keep a few of those, but let’s go write all new songs in the studio.’ We’re looking at each other like, ‘Dude, we kind of already wrote the songs, bro.’ He’s like, ‘No, I like to write new ones in the studio.’ So, in honor of accommodating this new process, we wrote all new songs, and it’s a good thing we did."

De La Soul spoke to Rolling Stone about their upcoming album, And The Anonymous Nobody. The iconic hip-hop group confirmed that Damon Albarn, 2 Chainz, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness and David Byrne will all appear on the album. Posdnous said: "But that element of not knowing what you're doing, like, it felt like '3 Feet High and Rising'. Like, we walked in, we didn't know the rules. We even at one point let Nas hear a bunch of tracks. And it was just dope how he was like, 'Yo man, this is like some avant-garde shit.'"
