Has Frank Ocean been writing a novel while working on his new album, Boys Don't Cry? Since appearing in a new Calvin Klein ad, an eagle-eyed Reddit user spotted something very interesting in the source code. The user posted that the code stated: "He has published a magazine and worked on a novel while continuing to perfect his highly anticipated second album." NME also points out that Ocean told The Guardian 4 years ago that he planned on writing a novel. No word or confirmation from Ocean's camp has been released.

Franz Ferdinand have parted ways with guitarist Nick McCarthy. In a statement from the band, they confirmed McCarthy will no longer be a member of the Scottish group, citing family reasons. The statement said: "When we record or tour, it takes a long, full-time commitment lasting a minimum of a year and a half, most of which is spent away from home. Nick has a young family and does not want to be away from them for such a long period."

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour has become an honorary citizen of Pompeii. Gilmour is set to play the acient city this weekend and in 1971, Floyd performed there and recorded the live record, Live at Pompeii. Now on the guitarists return, Mayor Ferdinando Uliano has made him an honorary citizen.
