Elton John spoke to Rolling Stone to confirm he will release a new album this fall. The album titled, The Diving Board is being produced by T. Bone Burnett and John said, "My new album is my most exciting record in a long, long time."

Confirmed on Seattle radio station, KIRO, longtime R.E.M. collaborator Scott McCaughey has confirmed he is working on R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck's solo record. McCaughey mentioned that Buck will sing on the record, but not in concert and the album may only be released on vinyl.

The musical adaptation of The Flaming Lips' classic, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots will open at the La Jolla Playhouse this November.

After singing about beers and being a fan of craft beers, Hold Steady front man Craig Finn now has his own craft beer. The East London company, Signature Brews will make "Clear Heart," beer taken from the title of Finn's solo debut, Clear Heart Full Eyes. Watch a video of Finn talking about the beer below:
