Sad news to report, legendary soul singer Bobby Womack has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer. The news was released by his friend Bootsy Collins via his Facebook page. Womack is gearing up to release his new record in June, The Bravest Man in the Universe which was co-produced by Damon Albarn and Richard Russell. We wish Mr. Womack as speedy recovery and all the best.

After years of speculation and hiatus, Australian garage rockers Jet have officially called it quits according to Billboard magazine.

Texas rockers The Sword have confirmed they are entering the studio in June to record a new album. The band hope to have it out by the fall.

Liars have confirmed they will release their yet-to-be-titled new album in June.

Legendary DIY punks, Mission of Burma will release their new album, Unsound on July 9.
