El-P will release his first album in five years, Cancer for Cure on May 22 via Fat Possum records. The album will include guests such as Killer Mike, Danny Brown, Interpol's Paul Banks, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire.

Atari Teenage Riot front man, creator of Digital Hardcore and friend to this site - Mr. Alec Empire has donated a large sum of money he has earned from licensing ATR music to Sony to hacker group FreeAnons, which is part of Anonymous. In the ironic twist, Anonymous has been behind the massive Sony hacks of last year that shut down the systems network. Metallica will now join U2 in entering the 3-D concert world. The metal legends are teaming up with director Nimrod Antal to film a concert / narrative film about the band. No word as to when the film will be released, but filming shall begin this summer.

Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard spoke to Rolling Stone recently and discussed the band's forthcoming album. Gossard said, "We've recorded some songs, and we're going to record and write some more. It might be that we're a song away or two, or it might be that we're going to record six or seven more songs. I think the main thing is that we're not in a rush and there’s no urgency to it. The most important thing is that we put something out that continues to expand our boundaries rather than trying to follow what we've done in the past. I think it's a good time to hopefully continue to experiment, and continue to shake it up." He then continued, "We want people to go 'Wow, that’s kind of weird for Pearl Jam,' and then 10 years later they can go, 'Oh, that’s my favorite period', which is always kind of what happens."

According to the Aspen Times, Bob Dylan is recording new material in the L.A. studio owned by Jackson Browne. The Aspen Times recently interviewed Los Lobos member David Hidalgo, who worked with Dylan on his Christmas record and mentioned he is working with Dylan on a new record in L.A.
