According to a recent interview with Slate, former Sonic Youth bassist Kim Gordon will appear on season 3 of HBO's Girls.

While some members of Blur reported that former foes and now friends, Damon Albarn and Noel Gallagher were working on material together, Gallagher confirmed to The Sun that it is the contrary. He said they are not working on anything but, "I like Damon and would be interested in working in something."

The Church's Steve Kilbey and Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli are working together on music together. The duo have been working on something all year and will be playing a handful of shows together this fall. No word on a release of their material.

Eric Clapton will reissue his seminal MTV Unplugged album as a deluxe reissue this fall. The reissue will feature the entire concert audio remastered, a DVD of behind-the-scenes footage and the full concert. To this date, his Unplugged has sold over 19 million copies worldwide and won Slowhand six Grammys, including "Record of the Year" and "Album of the Year."

The Butthole Surfers will re-release their very first albums on vinyl since their original pressing. 1984′s Psychic… Powerless… Another Man’s Sac, 1986′s Rembrandt Pussyhorse, 1987′s Locust Abortion Technician and 1988′s Hairway to Steven will arrive on October 1.
