Quick News

The Ron Howard directed Jay Z documentary, Made in America, the story behind HOV's festival will be released in June.

Kim Deal has confirmed that The Breeders are indeed writing new material. No word yet as to when it will be released or if it has even been recorded.

Mike Doughty will release his eighth solo album, Stellar Motel, in the fall.

It looks like Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez have buried the hatchet after they broke up Mars Volta last year. Now, the duo are linking up with Flea and former Volta members to form Antemasque, a punk / dance hybrid who will release their debut later this year. The band insists this is not a side project for anyone, but a full time gig. Which now means, Omar has three bands under his belt - this, Kimono Kult and Bosnian Rainbows; as does Flea, between this, RHCP and Atoms for Peace.

Speaking to NME, Damon Albarn has given a state of the union of sorts about Blur. He said the band will probably play again in the future, saying, "Everything is good between us all. I'm sure we'll play again at some point. It'd be mad to go the rest of our life and never play any of those songs again."

Albarn then gave an update on Gorillaz, saying, "I can definitely see another Gorillaz-esque record at some point, yeah. That will almost definitely happen. I could put a Gorillaz record out next week; I've got enough stuff I haven't finished." He then spoke about his recent rocky relationship with Gorillaz artist Jamie Hewlett saying, "There are points in every relationship where they fall out with people that they're close to and then they reconcile, hopefully, and actually, you know the relationship's probably in a healthier place as a result of that."
