Paul McCartney will play the final concerts ever at San Fransisco's historic Candlestick Park on August 14. It was at this same venue in August 1966, that The Beatles played their final official live concerts.

Sad news to report, innovative Chicago producer and beatmaker, DJ Rashad passed away over the weekend. The news was confirmed this morning by his label, Hyperdub, in a newsletter to subscribers. The cause of death is still unknown. He was 34. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Another piece of sad news, hip-hop pioneer DJ EZ Rock has passed away at 46. The Harlem DJ, who flipped the music world upside down with Rob Base thanks to the single, "It Takes Two," died on Sunday. The cause of death is still unknown. Once again, our thoughts to to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Jay Electronica is promising that his long awaited debut will arrive this year. In a Q&A with fans via Twitter, Jay tweeted, "No sir… promise you it’s coming this year and I’m about to heat the game up and charge the particles so high…"
