Sad news to report, innovative Chicago producer and beatmaker, DJ Rashad passed away over the weekend. The news was confirmed this morning by his label, Hyperdub, in a newsletter to subscribers. The cause of death is still unknown. He was 34. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.
Another piece of sad news, hip-hop pioneer DJ EZ Rock has passed away at 46. The Harlem DJ, who flipped the music world upside down with Rob Base thanks to the single, "It Takes Two," died on Sunday.
