After a three year battle with cancer, Beastie Boys member Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away at age 47.
A sad day for music and myself, a personal fan of MCA's work, humanitarian efforts and career. Yauch has been out of the limelight this past year, becoming too ill to attend the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month and other Beastie related events.
Our thoughts go out to Mike D, Adam Horowitz and Yauch's family.
