Tom Morello will fill in for Little Steven Van Zandt as an honorary member of the E-Street Band for Bruce Springsteen's Australian "Wrecking Ball Tour." Van Zandt will be filming the series Lilyhammer and is unable to perform.

BBC is reporting that a Russian court has denied imprisoned Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina's plea to defer her sentence so she could take care of her five-year-old. Alyokhina asked if she complete her term when her son was older.

Metallica will release their 3-D film, Through The Never in August. The film is part documentary and part concert film.

After rumors of a new Strokes album and single were lighting the internet up on Thursday after influential Seattle radio state 107.7 The End hinted they had a new song from the New York garage rockers, Billboard is confirming that the band will be releasing a new record later this year.

Taking to Twitter, Lupe Fiasco has announced he is canceling Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 2. Though, he did mention a new release will arrive this year, just not under the Food and Liquor umbrella.

Just a few months after Interpol's Paul Banks released his solo record, Interpol drummer, Sam Fogarino will release his debut solo album under the banner EmptyMansions. His record, snakes/vultures/sulfate will arrive in April.
