Quick News

Sad news to report: Surfer Blood guitarist Thomas Fekete, 27, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. On his GoFundMe page, his wife, Jessica, wrote: "Our sweet Thomas passed on last night, peacefully in his sleep, holding my hand. With one last sigh, he let go of the burden of pain and suffering that he has been bravely carrying for so long. I am full of comfort knowing that he is now free, and long for the day I get to be with him again." His bandmates took to Facebook to post a touching eulogy:

Paul McCartney told Q magazine that what led to Oasis' downfall in popularity for a period was when Noel Gallagher said his band was bigger than The Beatles in 1998. Macca told Q magazine:
“I thought the biggest mistake they made was when they said ‘We’re going to be bigger than The Beatles’. I thought ‘So many people have said that, and it’s the kiss of death.’ Be bigger than The Beatles, but don’t say it. The minute you say it, everything you do from then on is going to be looked at in the light of that statement.”

Speaking to Metal Forces, Lars Ulrich says he hopes the new Metallica record will be done this summer. He said: "If the record doesn't come out this year, then it won't be because it's not done. It will be because there's some sort of cosmic reason that it would be smarter to hold onto it until next year. But the record will be done this summer."

El-P took to Instagram to announce that he and Killer Mike are halfway done with Run the Jewels 3 and shared a new teaser.
