Quick News

Coldplay will exhibit original album artwork of their last record, Mylo Xyloto, to raise funds for Kids Company. The exhibition will take place from November 29 to December 2 at Proud Galleries in Camden, London. Coldplay singer, Chris Martin said, “Kids Company is a phenomenal organization that is very close to our hearts. While we were making the last album we did quite a lot of painting with our friend Paris. We built a special wall in our studio and sprayed it, wrote on it and threw things at it until it eventually became the artwork for Mylo Xyloto. This exhibition will be the first time that the wall has appeared in public.”

As if Questlove of The Roots does not have enough on his plate already - drumming for the most incredible Roots crew, doing Late Night with Jimmy Fallon every night, touring, running The Hoodie Shop in NYC, producing the new D'Angelo record, he can now add NYU Professor to his resume. Questo will teach a "Classic Albums" course at NYU. According to NYU, the class will explore the meaning behind "classic" or "seminal" albums and why they are considered to be such and stand in high regard. The course will also look at music, lyrics, production and business aspects like promotion and marketing.

Frankie and The Heartstrings confirmed they will release a new album in early 2013.

Crystal Castles, yet again, pushed back the release of III from Halloween to November 12.

Could an OG Wu-Tang Clan reunion really happen? RZA says "Yes," but with a catch. In a recent interview with The New York Times, RZA said,"There’s one last job Wu-Tang Clan must do. The 20th anniversary [of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)] is next year. And we need to, one time, completely, efficiently, properly, professionally represent our brand. One more time. But this time, showing up on time for press and for concerts and studio... A lot of people don't know this about Wu-Tang, it started from a focused mind. I was given total autonomy to do whatever I want with them... They agreed, to me, to be a dictator for five years. And in those five years, it's considered some of our best work.... I see what happens when a person like me is driving that ship. I think we can do it again. I've been talking to some of the guys, I was like, "Yo, look, I would suggest that you put down everything you know, and trust me one more time." I would say, if we get one more shot of me being completely trusted as the driver of the ship, I think we could give the world one more record, maybe. And if not that, one more campaign... Anyway, I think there’s one more round for Wu-Tang, if they go proper. But if they don't come proper, for some reason, whether it's my fault, their fault or the world's fault, I’m going to continue creating art and the Wu-Tang saga. If I've got to be the guy that’s living it, I’m going to live it to the end."
