Weezer have confirmed that Cars frontman Rick Ocasek will be producing their new album. Ocasek famously produced the band's debut, Blue, and 2001 comeback LP, Green.

Thirty-eight years after it's debut, The Ramones debut has finally been certified gold. A much overdue congrats to a record that changed music and countless lives (including mine).

Speaking to BBC's Zane Lowe, Rick Rubin has confirmed that he and Kanye West are working together again on the follow-up to last year's Yeezus. No word as to when the record will be done.

NBC is developing an eight-episode series based on The Beatles. The series will be written by Tudors creator Michael Hirst. No word on when the series will air.

Actor Tom Hiddleston has been tapped to play Hank Williams in an upcoming biopic on the iconic singer. The film, I Saw The Light, will arrive next year.

Writing an editorial piece for The Guardian, Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood confirmed that the British band took "a year off," to do side-projects. Greenwood has been scoring film's since 2007, but has now dabbled further into classical music.
