Quick News

Influential SoCal punks Ten Foot Pole will release their first album in a decade next year. No title or release date has been given, but that is great news on new material!

HBO will air a four-episode mini-series of Beyonce's "Mrs. Carter World Tour." The show, Beyonce: X10,  air June 22, it captures the singer backstage and getting ready for her successful 2013 tour, as well as concert footage shot from around the globe.

LA's Nico Vega will release their long awaited new album, Lead to Light, next month.

Speaking to Billboard, D'Angelo's manager Kevin Liles said the singer will be back with a new album and tour this year, saying, "There'll be an album this year: there's 14 records so far, we might have a couple of bonus records, but all the recording is basically done and we're mixing and mastering now. Definitely, he'll be back. We'll probably start an international tour in October, we'll come back [to the U.S.]. We're doing a James Brown tribute in August [at the Hollywood Bowl] and some one-off things. But the touring will probably start in October and 2015."

The always cryptic Brand New have given as much of an update as to what is going on with them as a fan could hope and expect from the influential Long Island band. Posting on their website, they said, "A lot has gone on in the last few weeks. Some writing, some recording, some new gear, some studio building. We will update you more soon." If that means a new record, it is time for fans to get excited.
