Sad news to report, Crystal Fighters drummer Andrea Marongui has passed away. The cause of death is unknown at the time, the band confirmed the news via their Facebook page saying, ""One of the most brilliant, skillful and charismatic drummers to have ever graced the stage." Our thoughts go to his friends, family, and bandmates.

Speaking to BBC6 Music, Julian Casablancas has said that The Strokes might rendezvous in January to start working on a new record.  He said, "In January we might meet up and work on some ideas. Everyone is psyched. Everything is in a really cool place."

After releasing the single "Go" to mixed reaction, Grimes has scrapped the album she was making and has opted to start fresh. No word as to when the record will be done.

Odd Future are teaming up with Dash Radio to create a 24/7 music channel based around the band and their influences. The station will be commercial free and on Tuesday's it will feature a live show featuring members of the hip-hop collective.

To celebrate their 50th anniversary The Kinks are releasing a box set called The Anthology 1964-1971. The set, which is due this fall, will feature five discs of their classic hits, demos, rarities, and live cuts.

On October 27, Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham will moderate the Toronto mayoral debate. While Rob Ford has pulled out of the race, Abraham will be entertaining the issues among his city's future leader.
