According to a press release, Savages have finished recording their second album and are in the mixing stages of the LP. No word on a release date, though some speculate it will arrive this fall.

For the first time in decades, Darlene Love will release a new solo album. The record titled Introducing  Darlene Love will arrive later this year and will feature Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Van Zandt, Jim Webb, Linda Perry, Desmond Child, and Joan Jett. It was produced by Steven Van Zandt.

As mentioned earlier this week, Hold Steay front man Craig Finn will release his sophomore solo album, Faith in the Future, in September. Take a look at the cover, below:

Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney will release her memoir, Hunger Makes A Modern Girl, in October. In a press release it says, "HUNGER MAKES ME A MODERN GIRL is an intimate and revealing narrative of her escape from a turbulent family life into a world where music was the means toward self-invention, community, and rescue. Along the way, Brownstein chronicles the excitement and contradictions within the era's flourishing and fiercely independent music subculture, including experiences that sowed the seeds for the observational satire of the popular television series Portlandia years later."
